My work is an exploration of color, metal, and fire, born from a lifelong foundation in the fine arts, primarily printmaking. When I discovered jewelry fabrication and enameling I felt I found "my" methods and materials. Enameling has become a beautiful addiction; I am continuously captivated by its endless versatility and the way raw materials transform into entirely new dimensions. By blending self-taught discovery with technical techniques gathered from gifted mentors in workshops I've attended, I treat each piece as a miniature canvas. I don't do detailed pre-planning because I enjoy a certain degree of freedom and spontaneity. Through the fusion of metalwork and glass, I create wearable objects and occasionally wall pieces and hope others will enjoy them the way I enjoy making them.
