I always say glass enameling picked me. From the first time that I enameled a cloisonne’ piece when I was 14 years old, I fell in love with the process of fusing glass to metal. The excitement of the dry enamel transforming in the firing process has always been fascinating to me. The science behind transforming sand and oxides with heat is exhilarating alchemy. I have made it my life’s work to perfect as many of the enameling techniques as I can. The other aspect of working with enamel is that I get to use my skills as a problem solver. I love the challenge of bringing to life the visions in my head and making them a reality. Always learning and reveling in the magic ingredient of glass.
