Enamel, copper sum form, copper rivets, silkscreened silver foil
Sgraffito, sifting, wet floating, satin finishing
7 ½ inches in diameter x 3 1/8 inches deep
This conical spun vessel form has been cut. The cut out piece has been tube riveted to the opposite side of the interior. The lines and exposed copper have been sgraffitoed through liquid white enamel. There is a planned contrast between the enclosed forms and the open transparent space. The opacity of the simple enclosed forms is created by wet floating multiple layers over a sifted itransparent nitial layer. Transparent enamels highlight the texture of the spun striations of the copper vessel. There is a slight hint of shading.
