For this exercise in sgraffito, I look back to when I started seriously working in enamel twenty years ago. At that time, I ventured into my late father’s enameling studio and decided to create a line of colorful sgraffito jewelry. After several years of participating in craft fairs, I decided to move on from producing that line. Now I’m revisiting those initial lines and color combinations that sparked my creativity. I can’t help but think about the doodling my father used to do on paper, and how that habit has been passed down to me. When I approach these works, I channel my inner doodler, immersing myself in deep thought while creating.
