This collaborative piece in enamel on copper brings together four artists working through a shared language of sgraffito, color, line, and process. Constructed as four interconnected panels, the piece explores convergence — of landscape, movement, geography, and individual artistic voices. We began the four-part structure together in San Diego passing the piece adding sgraffito lines so that each of our hands created all of the panels. After adding base color as a starting point the full piece then went from studio to studio Texas to California to Texas with each artist adding to the work to bring it to completion.
