Threaded connections are perfect for enamel - they're secure yet gentle and allow pieces to be disassembled for repair or alteration. In this workshop, we'll learn how to use a commercial tap-and-die set to create custom threaded components for attaching enameled components to metal. As a sample project, students will create a simple brooch that includes an enameled element threaded onto a fabricated metal pinback component.
