Cynthia Eid - Raise a Vessel

Experience the magic of using a hammer to transform a flat disc of metal into an elegant bowl, cup, or vase. Learn how to use a hammer efficiently and ergonomically. During this workshop, you'll learn sinking, angle raising, and planishing. Enameling a vessel requires us to give the bottom and the edge special consideration. Several ways of planning for enameling the bottom and the edge will be taught. Beginners will be encouraged to raise a symmetrical piece from a round disc. Experience raisers may choose to start with a different shape and raise an asymmetrical vessel.
