Exploration of Artistic Practice of Vitreous Enamel as Wall Work - Janly Jaggard
This is a virtual workshop.
These two workshops are designed to provide ways of thinking about work and creative process. You may well know the basics of enameling and the steps to take practically. Now we will focus on how to create surface, layers and color through stenciling transparent and opaque enamels that are typically sifted. First you will select composition. This can be from drawings, photos, and other visual resources that you own.
Bio: Janly Jaggard is British but has lived in Virginia since the early 90s. She earned her undergraduate degree in Ceramics from West of England College of Art in 1971 and a Master's Degree in Fine Art: Painting from Norwich University of the Arts in 2015. She has been an art teacher, lecturer and instructor for most of her adult life, simultaneous with her practice as an artist. Janly has exhibited her painting and enamel work both nationally and internationally. Her work is included in several private collections.
The workshop will take place on March 6th and 10th, 2023 from 2:30-4:30 pm eastern time.
