The Show

Everyone attending the conference was invited to bring one enamel piece to “Instant Gallery – 4” to introduce your work to the other enamelists. This was part of the gala opening on Friday evening, the 24th of August, 2007.

A great feature of the Instant Gallery presentation was having a small picture of the artist displayed with the work and information about the piece to make connections easy!

Your piece could have been NSF or for sale. Sale arrangement was to be made between buyer and seller with The Enamelist Societty and the Cultural Arts Center taking no commission.  All pieces remained on display until after the closing on Sunday.

When

The Instant Gallery shared in the opening reception Friday night and was open during the conference at stated times so everyone had the opportunity to see all the art.

Security of work

Your work was handled with utmost care. Society personnel monitored the gallery during open hours. When the Instant Gallery was unattended, it was locked. The show was dismantled at the end of the conference. Work and signage was picked up during the specified times on Sunday. Your photo and your receipt served as a quick ID when you picked up your piece.

Volunteer Your Non-art Talent!

We won’t have much time to organize the display but many hands will make it easier. This is the place for you to use your other talents.

At Instant Gallery Registration, if you are good at printing - help print legible display labels. Accept the work and log it in. Want experience hanging a show? This is it!  Sitting the gallery will give you ample time to see the whole Instant Gallery Show while performing a necessary function by monitoring it.  Taking down the show has its own excitement as people gather at the end.  We will need a door monitor, people to help remove heavy work and release the work to its owner.

Please volunteer some time at a great place to meet everyone and be social, too. Fill in the Volunteer Form to let us know you are willing to help.

Delivery of your piece

So we can have time to mount a really terrific show, please deliver your piece as soon as you can after arrival! Someone will receive your work in the Instant Gallery room at the Cultural Arts Center.

Wall pieces must be ready for hanging.  Please bring any special display support that your piece needs.

For Your Display in the Instant Gallery – Bring:

Your enamel piece.
Information about your piece - so you can quickly and legibly fill out the display card or have someone help you. (Title, materials/technique, size, year made, Sale price or NSF.)
A wallet or smaller size picture (1” x 1-1/2”) of yourself to be displayed with your work.  We will have an instant camera to take your picture for display if you don’t have one.
Completed Instant Gallery Registration form. (Please make a copy for yourself.) It will be your registration, receipt and claim check.
